Abstract |
Nutrition plays a critical role in mitigating health issues associated with prevailing across the globe. Cancer falls among the top ten ailments affecting a global population. If left untreated cancer may diminish the quality of life and may lead to death. To tackle this issue, nutritional interventions are considered a safe route in cancer prevention and the management of cancer patients. Emerging research highlights the influence of dietary patterns, specific nutrients, and bioactive compounds on cancer risk, progression, and treatment outcomes. This presentation will explore the molecular mechanisms through which nutrition modulates cancer development, focusing on the potential of functional foods, nutraceuticals, and plant-derived compounds to reduce oxidative stress, inflammation, and tumor growth. Additionally, the integration of personalized nutrition approaches with conventional cancer therapies will be discussed, emphasizing the role of dietary interventions in improving patient quality of life, minimizing treatment side effects, and supporting long-term remission. This presentation aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how tailored nutritional strategies can complement cancer treatment and promote health outcomes in cancer patients. |
